A Career Built on Colour
I'm Afsaneh Farahmand, the colour and mesh specialist at The Lounge Marbella. Over twenty-five years I've worked exclusively on hair colour and mesh — not a general hairdressing career with colour added on the side, but a career spent specifically learning how light, skin tone and hair texture work together to decide what a colour will actually look like once you leave the chair.
That focus is the difference between colour that's simply applied and colour that's designed for you. Two clients can ask for the same shade of blonde and leave with two different results, because the right formula depends on their base colour, their skin undertone and how much upkeep they actually want — not just a photo they bring in.
Alongside the studio, I teach colour and highlighting technique to hairdressers online, with a following of over 200,000 across my training content — the same technical standard I bring to every appointment at The Lounge Marbella.
One-to-One, By Appointment
Every appointment at The Lounge Marbella is with me directly — no juniors, no handing clients off partway through a service. I keep the studio in Nueva Andalucía small and by appointment on purpose, so I can give each colour the time and attention it needs rather than rushing between chairs.
The studio sits opposite the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella and a few minutes from Puerto Banús, and most of my clients are local residents and regular visitors to the Costa del Sol who want colour that holds up to sun, salt water and pool chlorine between visits — which shapes a lot of the technique choices I make, particularly favouring balayage and hand-painted mesh over harder-edged colour that grows out visibly.
